KIM BAKKER

founder

Kim Bakker is a seasoned fashion designer and the founder of Slash Creative Studio. With 20 years of experience, Kim started her career at No-excess and Gsus, where she developed a love for design and a solid understanding of the production process.

During a decade-long tenure as a fashion design lecturer at AMFI and freelancing for Hunkemöller and Private label PAKS, Kim honed her skills.
In 2007, she took the entrepreneurial leap, establishing the high-end menswear brand NON-by-KIM. Through her label and freelance work, Kim has cultivated a reliable network of suppliers and manufacturers.

Slash Creative Studio's initial project involved assisting Freddy from the rap group "De jeugd van tegenwoordig" and Perre Van den Brink, managing director at Vice in setting up the high-end label Tratlehner. Following that, Kim and Slash contributed to defining the menswear brand identity for Another Label, designing various collections.

In 2018, Slash played a crucial role in establishing the private label for OU. boutique stories. Slash managed the entire process, from design to production and delivery.

Slash has also produced premium merchandise for the haircare brand Gisou for four consecutive years. One of the standout items, a knitted winter holiday sweater, sold out almost instantly. This success followed the creation of a beekeeper-inspired jumpsuit for Gisou’s summer pop-up store, along with custom-made T-shirts.

Currently, Slash is engaged in new projects, which are set to be unveiled at the start of 2025.

We hope you can join us on this journey, where creativity meets hands-on management at Slash Creative Studio.
